How we got started
How we help
Our gifts provide impact in 6 main areas of need...
Caring for children
Nearly 22,000 children die globally in poverty each day and in the United States nearly 1 in 6 children is living in poverty. That is why we support programs that provide nutritious meals, school supplies, and lifesaving vitamins to children in need.
Protecting the environment
Issues like climate change, waste disposal, and deforestation are some of the most pressing issues of our time. That is why we sell products made from remnant fabrics, recycled billboards, and recycled water bottles. We support sustainable reforestation and agroforestry programs to create a better world.
Empowering women
85% of domestic violence occurs against women. 80% of all trafficked victims are women. That is why we sell products that both employ women coming out of such situations, or products that support organizations serving women’s needs.
Improving human health
50% of the world’s population is at risk of malaria and every two minutes, a child infected with malaria does not survive. 884 million people do not have safe water to drink. That is why we sell products that support a variety of pressing health issues to save lives.
Supporting job creation
Many individuals, like those with intellectual disabilities, those coming out of prison, individuals experiencing homelessness, and indigenous artisans, all can experience barriers to stable employment. That is why many of our products are made by individuals with barriers to employment, including our fulfillment center.
Saving animals
Over 4 million cats and dogs enter U.S. shelters each year are at risk of being killed if not adopted. Wild animals like elephants are killed in their thousands every year by poachers for their ivory. This is why we sell products that support nonprofits on the front lines of protecting animals in-need.
Where we help
Today we impact lives in 72 countries and 50 U.S. states.

How we partner
WE LOOK LONGTERM:
Our goal is to be a substantial contributor to those with whom we enter into a partnership. We prefer depth over breadth in our partnerships and we ask for continual, honest feedback for improvement.
METRICS OUTPUT:
We require output measurements that roll up into outcomes. The ability to measure impact is an important criterion for our model of transparency and reporting and is a requirement for partnership.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES:
We believe in being a good steward of the earth, reducing our carbon footprint, and using recycled materials. We prioritize organizations that avoid plastics and have a commitment to environmental stewardship.
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION:
We look for organizations that embrace diversity and inclusion including gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, disabilities, immigration background, and economic income status.
